A Tribute to Mark Twain
I love going to Two Roads Brewing (don’t worry, I’ll get to Mark Twain). If you haven’t been, do make it a point to go. There’s not only fantastic beer, but fantastic staff, fantastic company and an amazing atmosphere.
They're also extremely proud to be in Connecticut. In part for that, they have this contest they call the CONNartist. You can read more about it on their site, but in essence, it tasks artists to illustrate what’s made the state great over the years. So, naturally, I threw my hat in the ring.
Here’s my contribution for 2015:
It samples art from the first editions of each Mark Twain novel written while he lived in Connecticut, and also includes a shot of his home up in Hartford. Frankly, I love it.
Unfortunately, I didn’t win any accolades for it out of the contest, but it was fun to create, and still a joy to look at.
Better luck next year, eh?
